A Flourished Heart

June 1st, 2008 by Connie

From the Heart

Finally I am getting around to uploading my cards.   I recall trying one of Pat’s Stamps wonderful techniques and I ended up in never-never land.  A morphed technique, but still turned out okay. I guess I stamp like I cook and never follow the receipe.  Check out Pat’s site, as she just uploaded the Stampin Up Gallery and anyone can view this gallery.  I am a subscriber, and love all the wonderful techniques to discover, the breathtaking samples and great friends I have met.

On the brown toned background, I used Stampin Up Watercolor crayons on water color paper.  I did not like how it turned out, so I sprayed the entire piece with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist sprays.  See Elaines photo bucket store in Canada.  She carried these wonderful sprays.

The word stamps are retired sets from a Sell-a-brations 2007, and retired set "Like it a-Latte".

Now the Heart, is that not to die for..one of my favorite stamp lines.  Both the Heart and Background Flourish are from Impression Obsession Stamps - Leigh Hannon, designs.

I embossed the Heart with Stampin Up Craft Ink and clear embossing powder.  It looked drab and I wanted to pop the heart out more.  I finally got to use my ooohhh, laaa, laaa..Sakura Glaze Gel Pens.  These are a must have.

Thanks for visiting my blog..feel free to ask me any questions.
